Why did you decide to move the in-person event to virtual? 

Springtopia – A Season of Hope has historically been PRS’ annual fundraiser, held in May. When the pandemic hit in March, PRS rescheduled the benefit to Friday October, 16, 2020 in hopes an in-person event would be possible. As we near October and large events are still not advised, we made the difficult decision to move the event from in-person to virtual. While we will miss seeing our guests in person, we still need support from our stakeholders now more than ever. Our goal is to raise critical funds for our life-changing and life-saving services and keep up with the demand of our community members in need.

When is the event?

The event will take place on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 6:30-8:00 PM. The first 30 minutes (6:30-7:00) will be the pre-program. Tune into the pre-program to get your technology working, hear messages from our volunteers and frontline workers, silent auction updates and more. There will be a live countdown during the pre-program so you know when the live program begins and you won’t have to miss a second!

Why is the event called ‘Springtopia’ if the event is in the fall?

PRS has historically held our annual signature event in the spring. We have been interested in moving the event to the fall in order to maximize fiscal planning. With the pandemic forcing us to move our spring event to the fall, we decided now is the time to keep our annual fundraising event in the fall moving forward. We will go through a re-brand for the event name after the event in October. Until then, we will be springing into fall with ‘Springtopia’ one last time!

What will take place during your virtual event?

Our event will keep many of the same elements of our in-person event: silent auction, live auction, raffle, live program, live appeal, guest speakers, and updates on how PRS is doing, particularly during the pandemic.

How do I watch the virtual event?

From our website: prsinc.org/springtopia. All you need is strong internet connection! We recommend watching from your TV or laptop and keeping your phones handy for bidding!

How do I register?

How much are tickets?

We want to encourage participants from across the country to attend our event. Our ticket prices will start at no cost, with suggested donation options. Participants who donate a certain amount will receive a gift box with items to enjoy while watching the event. A link to register will be provided soon! 

How will the auction work?

Our online silent auction will open one week prior to the event. A link to sign up for the online auction will be emailed to you upon registration, and will also be available on our website soon. The live auction will take place during the live event on October 16, 2020.

What if I have technology issues or trouble accessing the event?

We will have a help desk available to answer your questions during the event. Logging into the event during the pre-program will help you get technology working before the live event begins. We will also email you instructions and technology tips before the event.
